The awards are beginning to pile up for a Woodbridge firm.

After being voted best of Prince William County by local residents for two years running, Jewelry By Design, 2932 Prince William Parkway, has now been inducted into the Hearts On Fire Hall of Fame.

Touting "The World's Most Perfectly Cut Diamond," Hearts on Fire provides lengthy training and education to each of the jewelers who sell their diamond-centered jewelry.

Apparently, Jewelry by Demand does it just a little bit better than most.

Only four jewelers were selected out of 650 stores nationwide to receive the honor, based on 11 years of accumulated achievement.

"Wow, that's cool," said Jenny Caro who owns and runs Jewelry by Design with her husband, John. "We're excited to be chosen and really happy that the way our employees treat our customers is getting recognized. It's probably why we continue to grow straight through the recession."

With jewelry sales falling and stores failing all around them, the growth and excellence of a local small business sure seems like a reason to celebrate.
