| Search for 2 suspects in jewelry theft Posted: 25 Jan 2011 10:15 AM PST Updated: Tuesday, 25 Jan 2011, 12:58 PM EST SPRINGFIELD (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Police in Springfield are asking for your help to find two suspects wanted in the theft of jewelry. On Jan. 19 at 12:30 p.m., police say a white female and a Hispanic male entered the New York Fashion store at 1295 Liberty St. The couple browsed through the store for about a half hour, asking the employee about certain jewelry items. Police say the female kept the employee distracted looking through a merchandise magazine and the male reached his arm around the display case and stole a 14k gold diamond bracelet valued at $4,000. The entire caper was caught on the stores digital security cameras. The female is described as white, in her late 20s with long straight blond hair, wearing a black North Face jacket and blue jeans. The male is described as Hispanic, light skinned, medium build, clean shaven wearing a red/black ski jacket and a baseball cap, about 5'8". Anyone with any information on their identity are to call the Detective Bureau at 413-787-6355 or "Text-a-Tip."
